| Generally our terms are based on good faith, mutual trust and understanding. All the fees, frequency and duration of the tuition will be agreed between the client, the tutor and the agency prior to the tuition. As such we expect all parties to honour their words and commitment at least for the first month |

1) Registering with Rainbow Tuition is free.
2) To register as a tutor, you must be at least 18 years of age and must be a Singapore Citizen, a Singapore Permanent Resident, or a Foreigner and must be residing in Singapore. You need to have a minimum academic qualification of a diploma or an 'A' Level certification. If you are below the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian's consent is required.
3) Rainbow Tuition reserves all rights to reject or refuse any registrations.
4) Your contact information is only viewable by yourself and Rainbow Tuition, and not made public to other users of this website. It will only be revealed to the parent/student who is successfully matched to you.
5) The information you supply should be as accurate as possible, and that you should not be providing untrue or inaccurate information which may mislead clients and Rainbow Tuition’s coordinator.
6) Any grades or other qualification information submitted must be as accurate and non-misleading as possible.
7) Rainbow Tuition will request from you scanned copies of your documentations and certifications for verification purposes when you are shortlisted for an assignment.
8) Registering with Rainbow Tuition does not guarantee tuition assignment jobs to you, as jobs are assigned based on tuition demand and how well tutors match up with the customer’s requirements. |

1) After you accept a tutoring assignment, the rate is non-negotiable once agreed upon, be it verbally or written.
2) Rainbow Tuition charges 50% of your first month’s pay from the assignment(s) you receive from us as agency fee. This is a one time off commission. Hence for the first month, you will only get 50% of your pay. You will only receive the full 100% of your tuition fees in the subsequent months. You can negotiate the frequency of the payment with the customer once the customer confirms your service.
3) Tutors are not allowed to collect commission on behalf of Rainbow Tuition directly from the customer.

1) Tutors are required to provide their own teaching materials and relevant papers to carry out the lessons.
2) Lessons are conducted at the student/ client's home by default unless otherwise stated.
3) You are required to bring along your all necessary certifications, documentations and NRIC card on your first lesson with the customer to certify your academic qualifications, credentials and NRIC to the student/s.
4) Rainbow Tuition assigned tutors are required to bring their original copy of their qualification to show parents upon request.
5) For privacy purposes, Rainbow Tuition does not reveal client's/student's contacts to tutors prior to the 1st lesson. Tutors are to obtain the contact number after the 1st lesson.
6) Once matched to our clients, you are representing Rainbow Tuition. You are to act appropriately at all times, and refrain from poor teaching etiquette including using of lesson time for personal activities, failure to observe punctuality, dishonesty and all other behaviour deemed inappropriate by Rainbow Tuition and our customers. Such tutors will be blacklisted and removed from our database.
7) If you are unable to make it to the first lesson of the tuition job assigned to you by Rainbow Tuition for any reason, you required to call up Rainbow Tuition at least 2 days or 48 hours before the actual lesson. Failure to comply will result in a penalty fee of S$50.00.
8) There will be an administration fee of $50 or 25% of the tuition fees (whichever is higher) if the tutor:
- knowingly accepted the assignment but decided to reject it without 48 hours prior notice or
- failed to turn up for the first lesson without medical certificates / reasons deemed valid by the agency.
- decide to change the tuition timing without 48 hours prior notice.
- changed the agreed timing for the second time. Personal commitments or reasons will not be accepted.
9) The minimum contractual and commitment period is 1 month. Tutors will be liable for the 50% of the tuition fees if they failed to complete the minimum 1 month tuition period of the assigned assignments.

1) In the event that a tutoring assignment is cancelled by the client before you complete the agreed number of lessons for the first, Rainbow Tuition will be charging 50% of the tuition fees for the total number of lessons delivered in the month.
We will only accept the parent's request for a replacement should we feel it is fair to both sides and in the best interest of the student. Should we finally decides to accept this request, the tutor will have to forego the pay for the first lesson if the parent raises the request before the second lesson.
However, if the parent raises the request after the second lesson, payment will be made based on the number of lessons covered. Within the first month, the tutor is still obliged to return 50% of this payment to Rainbow Tuition as agency fee.
2) Should you wish to cancel any assignment within the first month, you are liable to inform Rainbow Tuition.
If termination of the assignment was initiated by you, before 50% completion of the first month’s lessons without a valid reason, you will have to inform and pay the full commission to Rainbow Tuition.
If termination of the assignment was initiated by you, before 50% completion of the first month’s lessons with a valid reason, you may then negotiate with the customer on the payment terms. You will still be obliged to return 50% of the payment to Rainbow Tuition for any payment made for the first month.
3) The customer reserves the right to cancel or withdraw his/her tuition requests or assignment at any time.
4) Rainbow Tuition will not be liable for any payment charges or issues arising from the cancellation of tuition assignments by the customers.
5) You are to inform Rainbow Tuition 1 week in advance before you decide to stop teaching the student so that there will be enough time for Rainbow Tuition to find a replacement for a new tutor to take over. |

1) Rainbow Tuition will not be responsible for any disagreements or conflicts that arise between the tutor and you. Rainbow Tuition may however, at our discretion, try our best to assist to resolve the conflict, but we cannot make any guarantees.
2) Rainbow Tuition will not be responsible for any injury, damages, disputes, conflicts, claims or loss of any kind that may arise between tutor and parent/student.
3) Rainbow Tuition will not be held liable or responsible for civil proceedings and/or criminal prosecution on any acts of dishonesty, misconduct, and/or misdeeds on part of the tutors that may cause any inconveniences, disturbances, offences and/or any actions on part of the tutors.
4) Rainbow Tuition will not be responsible for the accuracy of the information provided by the parents, students, and Tutors. While every endeavour is made to ensure that information provide is updated and correct, Rainbow Tuition will not be responsible for any liability, injury, claim, damage, or loss of any kind as a result from any errors in the information in this web site, or in any material supplied.
5) Rainbow Tuition will not be liable for any indirect, special or consequential damages arising in connection with the use of this website.
6) Rainbow Tuition holds the copyright to all the content and graphics on the website, any re-use of the materials without prior permission from Rainbow Tuition is prohibited.
7) Rainbow Tuition reserves the right in its sole discretion to change the terms and conditions without prior notice.
8) Legal action will be taken against tutors who breached the terms and conditions above mentioned. Any legal costs will be borne by the Tutor.
